
It took an exposure of 49 minutes in the dead of night to create this image in Arizona USA. The movement of the stars is captured while the sandstone arch is faithfully still due to the use of a tripod.
Please note that this image does have a certain amount of 'noise' when enlarges and looked at closely. This is manifested as white 'specks' on the darker parts of the image and is completely normal - its a side effect of using such a long exposure with a digital sensor.
